By the end of this section you should be able to know types and indicators of abuse (LO1) and be able to understand the impact of abuse on vulnerable adults. You will also know the factors that may lead to abusive situations (LO2).
The criteria included in this section are:
P1 describe forms of abuse which may be experienced by adults P2 describe indicators that abuse may be happening to adults P3 explain factors that may lead to abusive situations M1 assess the likely immediate effects of two different forms of abuse on the health and wellbeing of adults D1 evaluate the potential longterm effects of these two types of abuse on the health and wellbeing of adults
