Your Field Trip Group will need to propose (and have approved) a presentation topic in advance of your Group Project: Presentation.
Topic Guidelines
Your group is welcome to choose any geology topic, but I must approve them. Submit your proposed topic at least 3 weeks in advance here.
The following rules apply:
- Topic choice must be scientific in nature; please no surfing presentations!) and fairly specific (“Cenozoic Geology in Coastal Northern California” as opposed to “The Geology of Northern California”).
- Topics will not be approved if they overlap substantially with those covered in class (e.g. general reports on volcanos, earthquakes, etc.).
- Research resources may include articles in scientific journals, books, the Internet, and even personal interviews with experts in the field.
