Writing Standards

Some lab answers are expected to be written as essays, typically a paragraph in length. Unlike fill-in-the-blank and short-answer questions, essay questions should be answered as follows:

• using complete sentences
• without copying
• with sources cited (in abbreviated format, not full research paper format)

By writing your essays to these standards, you will demonstrate your understanding of the answers, uphold your academic integrity, and show that you can move yourself forward in the field of knowledge.
